What We Do
Humanity’s Thread brings funding and people together at the nexus of peacebuilding, leadership, personal resilience, and trauma-informed practice. We channel support to gatherings where peacebuilders and other for-purpose practitioners can learn, practise, and grow, and to the people who need help getting there.
Why Gatherings
Peacebuilders and other for-purpose practitioners rarely get the chance to step out of the pressure of their work, reflect, and learn alongside others who understand. Well-designed and facilitated gatherings create that space. They build skills and relationships that last long after people return home, and they strengthen the wider networks this work depends on.
How We Work
Convening Gatherings
Some gatherings begin with us. When we see a need, we secure the funding, shape the purpose, and contract experienced partners to facilitate, and, at times, organise the logistics. Every gathering we convene is grounded in trauma-informed practice, from how participants are invited to how the space is held.

Sponsoring Gatherings

Many valuable gatherings are already being designed by practitioners and organisations doing excellent work. We help them happen by funding them, either in full or in specific parts such as facilitation, venues, travel, or participants’ costs.
Offering Scholarships

Cost should not decide who gets to take part. Our scholarships support peacebuilders and for-purpose practitioners to attend gatherings that will strengthen their work and the communities they serve.
